To teach the National Curriculum across the full primary age range and, where applicable, the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, using high-quality teaching strategies to meet the needs of all groups of pupils, including disadvantaged learners, so that pupils achieve at least age-related expectations for their year group and the expected outcomes at the end of key stages.
To demonstrate a strong commitment to the wider life of the school by upholding the Teachers\' Standards, actively contributing to whole-school improvement, and taking responsibility for the leadership, development and impact of a subject area, where appropriate.
To understand how pupils\' learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development and understand the stages of child development.
To ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care, enabling all pupils to make strong academic and personal progress within a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where safeguarding and pupil well-being are paramount.
To work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a united, co-operative teaching team, taking collective responsibility for all aspects of pupils\' educational, personal and social development and learning, within a safe and inclusive environment, and in close partnership with families and wider stakeholders, with safeguarding and pupil well-being central to all practice.
Roseacres only opened in September 2015 with 33 pupils on roll! Now with over 200 pupils and eight classes, it caters for pupils in Years R to Y6. It is on the former site of Takeley Primary that relocated to a brand new school on Priors Green development in Little Canfield. Takeley village has and still is undergoing significant change due to continued local expansion resulting in a high demand for primary school places.
