A local primary school in the UK is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils in their learning. This term-time only position involves working 28.75 hours per week with a competitive salary range of £16,585 to £16,848 pro rata. Following the successful amalgamation of the Infant and Junior School, we are looking to expand our workforce and appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 /2 pupils in their learning. This is a permanent, term time only post contracted to work 28.75 hours per week (negotiable) commencing March 2026 (if possible). The hours will be 8:45am- 3:15pm (negotiable) and may include a lunch time duty. The post is term time only. The rate of pay for the post is Essex Schools Local Government Pay Scale 3 Points 5-6 with a starting salary of FTE £25,583- £25,989 (full time equivalent) per annum. This will be paid pro rata (£16,585-£16,848).
You must have some relevant experience and a minimum of English and mathematics at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent.
