Business Development Manager Connected Systems – Midlands & North‑East
Location: Remote working with regular travel and overnight accommodation. Starting date: ASAP.
Purpose of Position
Advise on and drive the implementation of agreed business development growth strategies that reinforce and support the profitable development of the Security global business.
Engage with and develop new customers and channel partners according to the agreed Sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new customer acquisitions and drive quotes to increase sales of the company’s products through the UK security network.
- Proactively call and maintain a list of customers, including Security Installation Companies, within the designated area and key personnel; keep all customer information up to date in the company CRM system.
- Review perimeter and high‑security tenders from end‑users, systems integrators, and Platinum/Gold channel partners.
- Work with internal Sales and Support teams to compile tender responses, including compliance statements and BOQ.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the company’s integrated portfolio.
- Achieve sales targets for Access Control products and Perimeter solutions within the defined territory.
- liaise with end users and ensure customer satisfaction to promote a favorable image of the company.
Qualifications / Skills Required
- Industry‑relevant qualification in business and/or a commercial engineering related field.
- 3+ years of business development / sales experience in a B2B security systems environment.
- Previous CNI sales experience required.
- Strong understanding of the UK Security market place.
- Dealer / Partner management experience.
- Market development – geographical or vertical.
- Strategic customer relationship management.
- Development of appropriately pitched communications.
- Development of business growth strategies for territory.
- BPSS required; further levels of vetting desirable (CTC, SC or DV).
Place of Work
- Remote working.
- Regular travel with overnight hotel accommodation required for site visits and meetings.
Hours of Work
- 40 hours per week – 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, 30 min lunch break.
