Overview

Watersports Instructors

GLL is looking for Watersports Instructors based at Stanborough Park Water Sports Centre in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Stanborough Park has been providing sailing since 1969 and is a Paddle UK and RYA Training Centre, offering courses, group sessions and practice sessions to adults and children, where you’ll join the Watersports Team in delivering these.

Responsibilities

• As a NGB Qualified Instructor, you’ll be required to run high quality watersports sessions, set up and pack down the equipment at the start and end of each day, ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers, guaranteeing the highest standards of service.
• Working with a team of Watersports Instructors on a daily basis means you’ll need to have a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• You’ll have a real passion for watersports and must hold either a RYA Dinghy Instructor certificate, RYA Powerboat Level 2, Paddle UK Paddlesports Instructor or higher. There is the scope for unqualified candidates to gain qualifications with the centre (if you have the relevant experience).
• Flexibility, punctuality and reliability are just as important as integrity, a can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service. Passion and personality will stand you in good stead too.
