A leading academy school in Newbury is seeking a part-time Finance Administrator to manage the purchase ledger. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchase ledger or accounts, strong keyboard skills, and the ability to work flexibly during busy periods. This role offers 32 hours per week, with a starting salary of £21,471.63 per year, equivalent to a full-time salary of £28,142 – £30,024. The position is office based and offers a supportive team environment.
We are looking for a part-time Finance Administrator: Purchase Ledger, to join us as soon as possible on a permanent basis.
We are looking for someone who is computer literate, with good keyboard skills and purchase ledger or accounts experience to join our small, dedicated Finance team. You will have overall lead responsibility for the accurate and timely management of the purchase ledger.
Hours: 32 hours per week over 4 days or 5 days (to be agreed), term-time only, plus one week of training days and an additional 1.2 weeks to be worked flexibly to meet deadlines during the school holidays, pro rata, which equates to a total of 40.2 weeks worked per year. The role is office based and an element of flexibility will be required at peak times.
Salary: Full-time Equivalent is £28,142 – £30,024 gross per year (£14.59 – £15.56 per hour), pro rata for part-time, term-time. Starting salary equates to £21,471.63 gross per year.
