A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a CAD Designer to support their Civil Engineering team. This role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the utilities or power generation sector, with a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. The successful candidate will produce high-quality engineering design arrangement drawings and construction details, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. We have 3 office locations; Ashby (Leicestershire), Ruddington (Nottinghamshire) and Warrington. The office location for this role could be either of the 3 locations.

As a CAD Designer, you will have a good working knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and Revit (or similar CAD packages, both 2D and 3D) and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Your role will be to support the Civil Engineering team through the production of high-quality engineering design arrangement drawings, construction details and reinforcement schedules. You should be enthusiastic and conscientious about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail. You will also have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within utilities or power generation related industries. To complement this, you will have an engineering background and recognised engineering qualifications, preferably with a Civil bias, together with an awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures relating to design and construction activities.
