Job description
Due to growth, Medivet Shrewsbury 24-Hour is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them in either first opinion or referral work (or both depending on interest) as we look to expand the services we offer and to enable different vets to do the sort of work they enjoy. We know interests vary and there is scope to cater for consulting only vets or referral only vets.We are also fortunate enough to be supported by a wonderful team of nurses, of whom many of them have finished or are carrying out certificates such as in anaesthesia and analgesia or medical and surgical nursing. Our in-house lab includes biochemistry and haematology, clotting times, blood gas analysis and lactate monitoring. We have an in-house microscope and an Imagyst which enables us access to specialist analysis of cytology or faecal analysis within an hour. For those not local to the area, Shrewsbury and Shropshire are responsible for 'capturing' many vets who moved location for a job and never left!
