Qualifications

• Degree Qualification or Equivalent.
• Health Professions Council State Registration – Licence to Practice.
• Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses or other postgraduate training plus further experience to Masters level.
• Post registration training.
• Evidence of multidisciplinary working.
• Relevant clinical experience at postgraduate level.
• Experience in developing specialized packages of care.
• Experience of working with complex needs of service users with Learning Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, effective occupational therapy service to people with learning disabilities.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments with individuals with complex and challenging needs.
• Develop person-centered, specialist interventions to meet the needs of people with a learning disability.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained ensuring all documentation meets trust record keeping standards.
