Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Greater London seeks a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to provide expert assessments and interventions for adults with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to service development and ensuring best practices in communication strategies. Qualifications

  • Degree in Clinical Communication Studies from an approved establishment required.
  • 18 months of post-registration clinical experience working with learning disabilities.
  • Skills in clinical supervision of junior SLTs and students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized service for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Conduct eligibility assessments for referrals to CLDS.
  • Involvement in service development projects in the learning disability field.

Skills

Clinical skills in communication assessment
Communication skills with clients
Ability to adapt communication
Experience with dysphagia

Education

Degree or PG Diploma in Clinical Communication Studies
Current HCPC Registration
Membership of RCSLT
