Qualifications

• Knowledge of planning legislation and development management processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Degree or diploma in Town & Country Planning or equivalent and eligibility for RTPI membership.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and work to deadlines.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with a 'can-do' attitude.

About the Role

As a Senior Planning Officer, you will:

• Assess and manage planning applications, advise on enforcement matters, and manage planning appeals.

• Provide professional advice to applicants, agents, and stakeholders.
• Represent the Council at planning appeals.
• Contribute to service improvements and mentor junior colleagues.
