A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in Birmingham is seeking an Electrical Engineering student for a Summer Placement starting in 2026. This role offers the chance to work on innovative construction design projects, assisting the design team in creating sustainable electrical solutions. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, preferably in their penultimate year. This opportunity allows for real responsibility and involvement in a variety of sectors, including data centres and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team with detailed electrical building services engineering design and analysis.
• Define and translate clients’ needs into designs.
• Work across sectors including education, healthcare, and data centres.

Skills

On track to achieve a 2:1 or above

Working towards a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering

Preferably undertaking penultimate year of study

Passion for improving the built environment

Interest in design and sustainable design principles
