Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join our adult social care teams for a 12-month period. We have two positions available in the south of the Cheshire East footprint. One post will be based at the front door of our Adult Contact Team as part of our Prevent Reduce Enable focus. The other post will be focussed on supporting those coming out of hospital with a proportionate care approach. Both posts will have an enabling focus looking at supporting individuals with care and support needs to remain as independent as possible. You will need knowledge and experience of moving and handling and equipment provision. The posts will be based at Delamere house in Crewe, and you will be part of a busy frontline adult social care team.

About the Role:
  • You will have a proactive approach dedicated to supporting people to remain independent.
  • You will assess the needs of people within the community who are ill or have a disability and by the provision of specialist equipment or adaptations and appropriate advice, to help them to become more independent and remain at home.

About you:
  • you will be a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist.
  • you will have previous experience of working in adult social care settings.
  • you will have a good understanding of the relevant OT and adult social care legislation.
  • you will have good knowledge and experience of moving and handling legislation and equipment provision.
