Job description
Be part of the Family

We’re a family business through and through – family owned since 1868, family run and with a warm family welcome for guests and team alike. Our seven hotels are unique and set in three stunning Scottish locations. Some are big, some are small, but all offer fantastic food and drink, cozy beds and a wealth of things to do.

We offer an expansive range of benefits to help you make the most of life outside of work, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels heard and valued.

We treat our guests like family, and we support our people the same way. If you’re someone who lives our values of Be Creative, Be Curious, Be Thoughtful, Be Positive and Be You, you’ll fit right in.

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference and connecting people with opportunities? We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and driven individual to join our People team in this exciting new role. You’ll play a key part in shaping how we engage with our communities, attract talent, and build a strong employer brand.

This is a dynamic position covering multiple sites across the business, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential. You’ll have the chance to work independently, take ownership of projects, and collaborate with a supportive team that values fresh ideas and innovation.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our outreach and engagement efforts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Be Our Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at careers fairs and school/college events, showcasing career opportunities and building strong community connections. You’ll design eye‑catching displays and create materials that inspire future talent.
  • Shape Early Careers: Coordinate work experience programmes with local schools, helping young people gain valuable insights into the world of work.
  • Drive Recruitment Success: Support the full recruitment cycle—from screening and interviews to onboarding—while creating branded job templates that reflect our identity.
  • Own Our Online Presence: Create and manage engaging content across social media and our careers website to attract and inform potential candidates.
  • Keep Our People Connected: Develop internal communications through creative channels like poster boards and canteen screens, ensuring everyone stays informed and engaged.
  • Champion Our Brand: Work closely with Marketing to maintain consistent branding across all internal and external communications.
  • Lead Projects That Matter: Support People team initiatives and contribute to collaborative projects that enhance our culture and employee experience.
  • Build Partnerships: Develop relationships with external organisations such as DYW and DWP to strengthen our community impact.
  • Boost Engagement: Collaborate with the Social Committee to promote activities and events that bring our people together.
  • Measure Your Impact: Provide regular reports on progress, performance, and outcomes.
Why Join Us?

This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll help shape how we connect with communities, attract talent, and create an inclusive workplace where people thrive. If you’re creative, proactive, and love working with people, this role is for you.

What we’re looking for
  • Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal.
  • Confident working with multiple systems and learning to efficiently use new ones. Experience with Microsoft 365, Recruit Genie, Social Media and Canva would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Creative – able to create engaging community/careers events and company communications.
  • Teamwork – able to work as an effective team player to ensure People team goals are achieved.
  • Pro‑active – able to take ownership of the role and make it your own.
  • Flexibility – as a small People team we need someone who will support wherever necessary to ensure our success as a department.
  • Discretion – trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.

What you’ll get from us
  • Live-in Accommodation Available – On‑site, affordable housing with bills included may be available. Most rooms are single occupancy with an ensuite, though this isn’t guaranteed. Availability and rates (set by HMRC) can be discussed at interview.
  • Free Meals on Shift – Stay fuelled and focused with delicious staff meals while you work.
  • Exclusive Discounts – Enjoy 30% off food, drink and retail, discounted leisure membership and reduced rates on hotel activities.
  • Team Rate Hotel Stays – Take time to recharge with discounted stays at all of our hotels from just £30 per night – where will you explore next?
  • Refer a Friend Bonus – Earn between £250‑£500 for each successful team member or manager which you recommend to us.
  • Guest Mention Rewards – Earn £5 every time a guest gives you a positive shoutout in a review.
  • A Friendly & Supportive Team – Work in a fun welcoming environment, where team spirit and well‑being are a priority.
  • Career Progression – With seven hotels, multiple departments, and a wide range of roles, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow and explore new career paths.
  • Wellbeing Support – Get 24/7 confidential support via the Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme, covering mental health, finances, and more.
  • Team Events & Annual Staff Party – We love to celebrate our people! Enjoy team events throughout the year and a legendary annual staff party.
