We are seeking to appoint a Supervising Social Worker to provide support to our Foster Carers throughout the Northeast. Reporting into the office rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, your role will be one of importance to carers and children.
Our Supervising Social Worker’s days are varied and interesting. You will be able to follow a flexible structure whilst supporting our foster carers, holding realistic caseloads and providing a high level of supervision, monitoring, and intervention.
You will be working within a Trauma-informed practice model where we can support and follow therapeutic practice.
You will have the opportunity to complete Form F Assessments, participate in our Children & Young People’s participation and strategy events, and support our foster carers on a rota basis in our out-of-hours service.
Our leadership team will invest in your progression as a professional in the childcare sector. Not only do we source and deliver up-to-date training opportunities, but we also prioritise and discuss your personal development goals to ensure you’re getting the most out of your career. We know how important it is that we look after you, so you can look after the foster carers and children who need you.
Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for committed and dedicated people who want to continue their careers with a therapeutically based organisation and leading independent fostering agency.
You will have access to formal CHARMS training as well as access to our peer and group clinical supervision provided by a qualified psychologist. You will have opportunities to integrate with our clinical, educational and residential services. We also like to promote from within so you will have access to career progression opportunities.
