Overview

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
    • Act as the primary commercial point of contact, ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for contract growth, cost avoidance and new business development.
  • Financial Management
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across Management Units (MU).
    • Monitor MU costs, manage financial risks, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Provide regular financial performance reports, including profit and loss analysis and variance reporting.
  • Contract Negotiation & Compliance
    • Negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure favourable outcomes.
    • Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals for new work.
    • Routinely audit TwC tasks and provide feedback.
    • Ensure all commercial activities comply with contractual obligations, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Project Oversight
    • Oversee the commercial delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with programme timelines and quality benchmarks.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for innovation or improvement.
    • Support the resolution of commercial issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and mentor a team of Assistant Commercial Managers and Commercial Assistants.
    • Provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to support team development.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial management role, ideally within the facilities management or defence sector.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and commercial risk.
  • Proficient in project management tools and financial systems.
