The Vale of Glamorgan Council is looking for a motivated individual to join the Fleet and Vehicle Maintenance team as a Motor Vehicle Fitter. The role will primarily involve working as part of a small team carrying out planned and unscheduled works on the Council’s Fleet of vehicles and plant machinery.
Pay Details: Grade 7 SCP 20 - 25 £32,597 - £36,363 Pro Rata £16.90 - £18.85 Per Hour
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Mon – Thurs: 6.30 am – 2.30 pm or 2 pm to 10 pm; Fri: 6.30 am – 2.00 pm or 2 pm – 9.30 pm
Main Place of Work: The Alps Depot, Wenvoe, CF5 6AA

Description: The Individual will carry out or assist repairs on a full range of cars, heavy commercial, light commercial and plant equipment, which will include undertaking diagnosis of faults, ordering parts, preparing vehicles correctly for MOT and completing work to DVSA standards.
