A healthcare organization in the North East is seeking a Disability Assessor to conduct client assessments, facilitating the Department for Work and Pensions in their decision-making. This role requires an NMC registered nurse or HCPC qualified professional with at least one year of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly with clients from diverse backgrounds. Offering an excellent salary starting at £37,800, benefits include hybrid working, generous leave, and financial support for professional fees.
The Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 to 4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established, people focussed organisation. You'll receive outstanding training and support to ensure you are the best you can be in your new Disability Assessor role!
