Job summary

A well-established assessment organization in Hounslow is seeking a Disability Assessor. You will conduct 3-4 assessments daily, gathering information on how disabilities affect clients' lives and reporting to the Department for Work and Pensions. Ideal candidates are NMC registered nurses or HCPC qualified professionals with a minimum of one year post-registration experience. The role offers a salary of £39,500, Monday to Friday hours, and comprehensive training.

Job description

What does the Disability Assessor role involve?

The role will involve you carrying out 3-4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to‑face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
