A leading flood insurance company in the UK seeks a Corporate Strategy Lead to support strategic initiatives and engage with stakeholders. The role requires over 4 years of experience in strategy consulting and excellent communication skills. Candidates must have an analytic mindset and experience in policy-making environments. The position offers an opportunity to influence corporate strategy and participate in important regulatory discussions.
Flood Re is a unique company. We have a purpose that is set out in statute, but we need to deliver this in a fast-changing and uncertain environment. Our strategy needs to be dynamic and agile, but we are constrained by the necessity of ensuring our insurer members and Government partners understand the Scheme and the environment we are working with.
The role of the strategy function is to support Flood Re in achieving its purpose in a changing environment; this means identifying the drivers of change which affect Flood Re’s operations, understand their implications and articulating this internally and externally. This is for someone who likes a role which is intellectually stimulating, highly analytical and who can interpret large amounts of information while embracing inherent uncertainty.
The Corporate Strategy Lead will report directly into Flood Re’s Director of Policy and Government, but will also support the CEO, helping to identify, conceptualise and address strategic issues. The role will cover a wide range of initiatives to support Flood Re’s purpose and assist Flood Re in engaging our core stakeholders, particularly our insurer members, in achieving this purpose.
