About this role

To provide specific learning related support services(according to the need) to tauira with impairment(s).

Title: Disability SupportWorker
Role: Casual – as and when required
Location: Hastings
Hourly Rate: $24.28 per hour
Hours: As required
Days: As required

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

• Typing,notetaking, and helping them engage with learning materials and onlinetasks
• Coachingthem to break down assignments and understand academic requirements
• Strengtheningtheir skills in independent planning and time management
• Encouragingmeaningful connections with Kaiako (teachers), peers, Tauira Services, and the wider learning environment

About you:

We are looking for someone who has the following:

• Atertiary qualification, preferably with a qualification above the level oftauira you are supporting
• PreviousTeaching Aide experience preferred
• Experiencein a pastoral role, coaching, mentoring, support, or teaching advantageousbut not essential

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness toparticipate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of ĀhuatangaMāori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
