A community regeneration organisation in the North East of England is seeking a Development Officer to support and expand the Game On programme. This role focuses on organizing sports sessions, fostering community engagement, and ensuring programme alignment with local needs. Candidates should have experience in community work and excellent communication skills. A commitment to safeguarding is mandatory, and the position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is the only community wealth building charity dedicated to the regeneration of Britain’s coalfield communities. For over 25 years, the CRT has worked with communities to deliver a breadth of projects creating opportunities for people, strengthening the role of community organisations and identifying place-based solutions responsive to the challenges still experienced in former coalmining towns and villages. To support delivery, the CRT has developed an innovative community wealth-building model generating sustainable income to deliver both social and economic value. Enabled by engaging key stakeholders, partners and, most importantly the communities, activities delivered are personalised to meet the needs of the people, the organisations and the place.
The CRT Game On Development Officer will support the CRT Game On England Development Manager in delivering and expanding the Game On programme within coalfield communities.
This role will involve:
Additionally, the role will involve helping to maintain high-quality standards by: following established processes; reviewing programme documents annually with the Development Manager, and suggesting improvements in line with the document control procedure. As well as adhering to data protection processes and ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
