Overview

Base pay range: up to £29,000 for full time, 40 hours per week. Location: Kido International Nursery & Preschool Isleworth, 30A The Grove, Isleworth, TW7 4JU. We are international, operating in India, USA and the UK. In the UK all our nurseries are Ofsted rated Good and Outstanding and are based in London and Windsor. We blend the best practices from the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches and have a unique curriculum for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe a combination of free and structured play, an engaging and interactive learning environment, and an abundance of love, care and attention provide the most solid foundation for children in their early years. Responsibilities

Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people are at the core of everything we do. As a Deputy Room Leader you’ll be more than just a leader; you’ll be an ambassador for our values and a gatekeeper for our vibrant culture. You’ll:

  • Share ownership of your room with the Room Leader, translating learning outcomes into inspiring classroom experiences for children aged 3 months to 5 years
  • Lead a room team to plan, organise and execute engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards and the Kido curriculum
  • Support educators in observing and assessing key children and help set goals for each child
  • Lead by example, promote Kido values, and step in for the Room Leader to ensure the room remains outstanding, welcoming and supportive
  • Create engaging learning environments that foster curiosity and exploration, using both indoor and outdoor spaces
  • Communicate effectively with parents, children and colleagues to deliver the best possible experience
  • Assess and record children’s progress and achievements, aligning with our observation systems to ensure milestones are celebrated
  • Support a nurturing environment that respects each child’s background, culture, disabilities and medical history
What we're looking for
  • For the Early Years Deputy Room Leader role you’ll already hold a relevant childcare qualification, level 2 minimum. To find out what qualifications count visit https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualifications-achieved-in-england

  • You will be an experienced Educator and may already be a Deputy Room Leader within a nursery setting
  • You must hold the right to work in the UK
  • If shortlisted you’ll be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions prior to interview, in line with our Safer Recruitment process. We will also process an Enhanced DBS Check for anyone who joins the team
