Full-Time Decontamination Assistant - Durban Dental Centre

You’re interested in starting a career in the dental industry but don’t have previous experience, this role is a great place to begin. Durban Dental Centre is looking for a full-time Decontamination Assistant to join our friendly team.We are offering a hands-on role in a calm, well-run practice where you’ll be supported, trained, and truly valued while playing an important part in maintaining high clinical standards.

The role

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position.

• Hours: 7:45am – 5:45pm
• You’ll be responsible for instrument cleaning, sterilisation, and maintaining decontamination rooms to a high standard, following infection control protocols.
• You’ll work closely with the wider clinical team to ensure surgeries are fully stocked and ready for patient care.

About you

• Previous experience in a dental or healthcare decontamination role is helpful, but not essential as training can be provided

• Reliable, organised, and comfortable with routine-based work
• A team player who enjoys supporting others behind the scenes
• Hepatitis B immunisation or confirmed immunity is a big advantage but we can help you to arrange this
