Overview
EQUANS are looking for a Contract Supervisor working on behalf of our Media City contract in Salford Quays. This role is a permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of static engineers to ensure all PPM and Reactive Works are completed safely and in a timely manner, in accordance with contracted output specifications and Equans processes and procedures.
- Ensure that all required Building Engineering services are carried out as per the Engineering Building strategy; provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.
- Prioritize Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality considerations in all activities.
- Deliver, review, and plan all aspects relating to specialist engineering services carried out by internal staff and subcontractors.
- Implement operational policies and procedures in line with contractual obligations; liaise with Equans Engineers to ensure effective service delivery.
- Support the Contract Manager in responding to customer complaints in accordance with the company’s Complaint Procedures.
- Manage day-to-day running of the day and/or shift team; act as the first point of contact for site HR issues.
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements and company policies (SHEQ/Technical Compliance). Ensure RAMS are followed; ensure PPE is safe to use; report accidents and near misses in a timely manner.
- Maintain the CAFM system with current data for operational resilience and completion of works; manage subcontractors and specialist providers as required.
- Support project activity by liaising with other project teams and building strong professional relationships within Engineering Services and the wider Equans Group.
- Drive effective maintenance policies, including spares management, time management concepts, and analysis of complex information to support sound recommendations.
- Participate in 24/7 maintenance cover (including on-call rota) and assist in emergency and contingency planning; proactively manage preventative and corrective works with a strong customer focus.
- Identify and manage a Critical Spares strategy; carry out sub-contractor audits and awareness; coordinate all statutory maintenance activities.
- Support and develop Company Values; lead the Team to work with other service teams to promote positive customer relations.
Quality, Information & Reporting
- Ensure KPIs are achieved and reported; complete all necessary paperwork related to KPI reporting; monitor performance and productivity of staff and contractors.
- Report to the Contract Manager on labour and efficiency; provide and prepare reports and audits on specialist sub-contractors.
Safety, Health, Environment & Technical Compliance
- Act as the focal point for site H&S management; ensure RAMS are received and followed; ensure all Technical Appointments are current and compliant.
- Work in accordance with the company health and safety policy; ensure PPE is safe to use; report accidents and near misses; ensure test equipment is calibrated.
- Ensure information requests from SHEQ manager are addressed; maintain compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards including Legionella Management.
Customer / Stakeholder
- Develop trusting relationships with key stakeholders; respond promptly to verbal and written requests; act as the first point of customer escalation on the contract.
