Job Title: Community Development Officer
Department: Community Development
Salary: £25,400 per annum
Location: Broadfield Stadium, Crawley
Contract: Full-Time


About the Role:

As part of the Foundation’s Community Development Department, the Community Development Officer will play a key role in delivering high-quality programmes that engage local residents across a broad demographic. This role supports individuals of all ages and backgrounds in achieving their personal goals through inclusive, well-planned, and effectively delivered sessions.

Key Objectives:

Engage participants in programme activities and encourage regular attendance.

Support individuals in achieving personal goals and aspirations.

Deliver high-quality sessions in line with departmental planning.

Contribute to the wider community goals of the Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a variety of community development programmes including Tackling Loneliness, Active Ageing, Social Inclusion, Walking Football, Women’s Recreational Football, Mental Health, and Disability Football.

Support programme delivery in line with funder/stakeholder Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Contribute to impact monitoring and data collection efforts.

Assist in developing and implementing future programme plans.

Collaborate with team members to ensure programmes meet the needs of the community and stakeholders.

Essential Experience and Skills:

Experience in a community-based role supporting participants aged 8–80+.

Ability to plan and deliver engaging, impactful sessions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisation and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Willingness to work evenings as required.

A genuine drive to help people achieve their personal goals.
