About Us

Carbis Club operates the leisure, spa and café facilities at Una St Ives in the picturesque Carbis Bay, Cornwall. We are looking to expand our current team by recruiting for a Club Assistant to help look after our club users.

Role Overview

The role consists of a mix of early (6.15am-2.15pm) and late (12.45pm-8.45pm) shifts and includes weekends on a rota basis. Daily tasks include member check‑ins, facility checks, simple café service, payment processing, pool testing and general administrative duties.

The Club Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our leisure facilities and hospitality offerings. This position is integral to maintaining high standards and providing exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day‑to‑day operations of the club, including member check‑ins, facility checks, simple café service, payment processing, pool testing and general administrative duties.
  • Be an integral part of the resort team, including setup, service, and cleanup within the café.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues, and exceeding expectations.
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the club.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a similar environment would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and multitask with attention to detail.
