We are looking for passionate Children’s Support Workers who are available to work on a flexible permanent basis.

As a Children’s Support Worker you will work as part of a team to deliver a high standard of care at all times and support the young persons’ emotional wellbeing. You will help service users maximise their choices, rights and decisions.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care/Children & Young People is a plus but not essential
  • 1–2 years experience working in a similar setting
  • Empathetic, non‑judgemental and calm
  • Dedicated with a “can‑do” attitude

About the Role

We are recruiting dedicated Children and Young Adult Support Workers to join our team across 10 residential services. Each home supports young people aged 5–18 with learning difficulties, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.

In this role, you will support children and young people with daily living, emotional regulation, communication, behaviour management, and personal development. You will work within a therapeutic framework and contribute to creating a stable and positive environment.

Essential Experience & Skills
  • Experience working with young people with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, complex health care needs, and challenging behaviour.
  • Understanding of therapeutic approaches.
  • Strong communication skills, including non‑verbal communication (Makaton or PECS).
Required Training & Qualifications
  • Mandatory training or Care Certificate (including practical Moving & Handling)
  • Safeguarding Children
  • Level 2 or 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
