Chef De Partie

Salary: £31,198.62 per annum including an annual retention bonus of £2,000 (pro-rata)

Location: Cheltenham, GL51 0EX

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 06:30 - 15:00)

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain positive daily relationships with clients, acting as a professional G4S ambassador.
  • Deliver excellent customer service with reliability, honesty, and a proactive team approach.
  • Ensure compliance with all G4S and client Health & Safety, Food Safety, and security policies.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food presentation.
  • Oversee or support food service delivery, ensuring meals meet required standards and service times.
  • Manage stock control, including ordering, storage, and checking deliveries using approved systems.
  • Follow recipes, menu cycles, and labelling procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Accurately complete safety documentation and report any hazards, faults, or incidents immediately.
  • Assist with training and supporting Apprentice/Trainee Chefs and contribute to team development.
  • Be flexible to business needs, including working at nearby units, and complete all required training and security clearance.
  • Assist with coaching and mentoring all Apprentice/Trainee Chefs on formal development programmes.
  • Assist with the preparation of all function/hospitality menu costs in accordance with the correct pricing structure and provide them in a timely manner to your line manager and follow all waste control procedures using the Food Production Process (FPP) guidelines.
Essential
  • Relevant catering experience.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety.
  • Basic Knowledge of COSH.
  • Basic Knowledge of due diligence requirements, allergens.
  • City and Guilds 706/1,2 or NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
  • Basic Food Hygiene - Level 2.
  • C&G 706/1,2 or NVQ level 2 equivalent.
Desirable
  • Food safety certificate.
  • Previous experience of a quality catering operation.
  • IT competent.
  • C&G 706/3 or NVQ level 3 equivalent.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Level 3.
  • Knowledge and Experience of Supervising or managing people.
