Overview

Responsibilities

• To support the Catering team ensuring a plentiful supply of clean dishes, cutlery and crockery as well as other general kitchen duties.
• Report to the Cook or in their absence the Catering assistants, upon arrival and upon leaving.
• Rinse off dishes and fill the dishwasher (as trained).
• Empty dishwasher, dry or drain dishes and crockery, as trained, and restock areas.
• Assist in the cleaning of the kitchen and catering equipment, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and working at all times under recommenced food Hygiene Regulations.
• Assist staff serving meals on the ward over the tea-time period.
• To undertake any other tasks as requested/deemed appropriate with the nature of the role.
