Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a CBT Therapist/Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join a new Macmillan service focused on delivering excellent psychosocial care for cancer patients. The successful candidate will be involved in developing cancer psychology pathways, providing supervision, and engaging with multidisciplinary teams. This permanent position offers 18.75 hours a week, a salary range of £47,810 – £54,710, and the chance to make a significant impact on patient care while working in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with appropriate qualifications.
  • Experience of working with patients with chronic health conditions.
  • Prepared for post-qualification training in specialized psychological areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop specialized clinical health psychology pathways for cancer patients.
  • Provide psychological therapy and assessment for cancer patients.
  • Supervise less experienced practitioners and contribute to MDT meetings.

Skills

Experience with psychological assessment
Knowledge of NICE guidelines
Supervisory skills

Education

Registered with BABPC or HCPC
Clinical or Counselling Psychologist qualifications
Post-qualification training in evidence-based therapies
