Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a purchasing role is desirable.

  • CIPS certification is preferred but not essential.

Buyer – Procurement

myenergi Ltd is a progressive and innovative company with its headquarters in Stallingborough, and subsidiaries in Germany, Benelux, Northern Ireland, and Australia, with ambitions to open facilities worldwide. We specialise in the design and manufacture of ground‑breaking renewable‑energy technology products.

The Buyer is a key supporting role within the Procurement team, responsible for providing proactive and responsive purchasing support to the business community. The role demands an individual who continually looks for improvement while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and service levels. The Buyer works closely with the planning team to ensure material coverage for both internal and external manufacturing while adhering to inventory stock levels.

Responsibilities
  • Receive regular emails and telephone calls from suppliers.
  • Arrange face‑to‑face meetings with suppliers and provide required information such as forecasts.
  • Plan required material and place purchase orders using the company’s eProcurement system, ensuring correct nominal coding, prices, dates, and accuracy.
  • Consider various delivery addresses and enter changes after confirmations are received.
  • Negotiate and arrange incoming logistics for ex‑works stock.
  • Chase paperwork if not received with goods.
  • Follow up on overdue purchase orders and push material out if stocks are high or production plans change; expedite and escalate if required.
  • Continuously check stock levels below reorder points and revise them where necessary.
  • Investigate goods‑received queries and assist the accounts team with pricing discrepancies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as cost savings, payment terms, credit limits, tendering.
  • Manage supplier relationships through visits, ratings, KPIs, contracts, evaluations, and scorecards.
  • Manage third‑party manufacturing suppliers, ensuring on‑time delivery of goods and material.
  • Handle supplier quality issues, returns, and correspondence.
  • Report internally to the Materials Manager.
  • Advise accounts on expected short‑term deliveries.
  • Work closely with accounts to ensure payments are made on time.
Qualifications & Experience
