An Australian-based construction and property development business are looking for a Bookkeeper, with experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, to join the team of 5. Reporting into the Finance Manager, and supporting the general finance team day to day, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including accounts payable, receiveable, bank reconciliations and invoice processing.
  • Oversee and support offshore members of the team, advising on queries and ensuring smooth processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry
  • Coordinate with multiple contractors and partners across the business.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the Finance/Ops Manager.
  • Support payroll processing and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with internal teams, external accountants, and suppliers.
  • Contribute to improving financial systems and workflows.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Construction experience is a plus.
  • Xero system knowledge and experience is essential.
  • Ability to manage high-volume transactions and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Available to start on short notice.
  • Adaptable and proactive.
