Dress for Success Kingston is seeking a passionate and experienced fundraising professional to join our Board of Directors. This volunteer role is ideal for someone who wants to give back to the community by helping advance the mission of empowering women through economic independence, while using their skills in fundraising, donor relations, and strategic development.

Dates and Times

- Please note that time requirements may be higher during key fundraising events and related planning activities.- Attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings and committee activities

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, sponsorship development, or related fields- Strong networking and relationship-building skills- Ability to contribute to strategic planning around funding and donor engagement- Passion for the mission of empowering women and strengthening communities- Willingness to use personal and professional networks to support fundraising efforts- Comfortable advocating for the organization in various settings- Ability to dedicate additional time during fundraising campaigns and special events- Familiarity with nonprofit governance is an asset, but not required

Position Responsibilities

- Serve as a key advisor on fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and revenue development- Support and strengthen existing fundraising initiatives and identify new opportunities for sustainable funding- Assist in developing sponsorship packages, donor campaigns, and special event fundraising strategies- Make connections to potential donors, sponsors, or community partners- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Fundraising Committee to help achieve fundraising goals- Attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings and committee activities
