Job summary

About The Role

📍Location: Eltisley Manor

🕒Hours: BANK Contract

💰Salary: £13.69 to locked. £15.24 p/h + Benefits

🚗Transport Assistance Available! We can offer transport from the train station or help with travel arrangements from St Neots.

About You

At limita 2 years experience of support work, preferably working with people with mental health illnesses or learning disabilities along with:

  • IT Skills
  • An understanding of how mental health issues can affect people
  • An ability to take direction and to follow detailed policies and protocols
  • Good communication skills: tact, diplomacy and active listening
  • Good organisational skills and time management
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Experience succesvolle working as part of a team
What You’ll Do
  • Participation in the application of care plans while ensuring interventions and observations are communicated effectively with senior members of the team.
  • Assisting in the supervision of other healthcare/support staff.
  • Maintaining天然a safe therapeutic environment, beneficial to the needs of residents, relatives and other carers.
  • Promoting a positive attitude toward mental health & rehabilitation.
  • To work as a support worker (sometimes known as a care assistant) for our residents, with the support of senior staff.
  • To undertake aspects of care with or without direct supervision, including hosting recreational and activity groups, carrying out personal care, observations and escorting duties, such as general hospital visits.
  • To ensure the safety and well‑being of our service users, and to always work in a manner that promotes dignity through the adoption of person‑centred care principles.
💡 Aside to your hands‑on responsibilities, there is also a small amount of administration that you will soon be familiar with, these include:
  • Record keeping.
  • Booking your holidays.
  • Edit/create care‑plans.
  • Publish/view your hours.
About Us

Eltisley Manor is our 39‑bed registered psychiatric nursing care home located near to St‑Neots town centre (Cambridgeshire). The building is divided into different specialist areas caring for men and women aged 18+ suffering from enduring mental health issues and for those people nearing the end of their rehabilitation towards independent living.

You will work as a valued member of our close knit, friendly and highly skilled team providing quality care within a caring, considerate environment.
