Description

Priory Richmond Houseis looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team.

Based in Harleston, Norfolk, Richmond House is a level 2 rehabilitation service for those with a learning disability. We can support adult females with a range of needs, including those who are on the autism spectrum, those with personality disorders, complex mental health needs, and those with a history of offending behaviours.

We support people to improve their skills and strengthen their independence, enabling safe continuation of care and transition into community placements.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you’re assisting with day‑to‑day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient’s named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

What you’ll bring to the role

A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration and 6–12 months post‑registration experience, including completion of a preceptorship programme, demonstrates sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional standards. They show evidence of ongoing post‑registration professional development and display a positive attitude toward change, improvement, and quality. With the ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice, they also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Their experience includes a minimum of six months working within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, supported by continued development within their professional field.
