Hours: Full-time or Part-time

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Worker to empower adults with autism in leading independent and fulfilling lives. You will provide person-centered support, assisting individuals in developing life skills, social interactions, and routines that enhance their confidence and well-being

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised support tailored to the unique needs of each person.
  • Assist with daily activities such as meal planning, budgeting, self-care, and community integration.
  • Support communication, emotional regulation, and social interactions using autism-specific strategies.
  • Promote independence through structured routines and skill-building exercises.
  • Advocate for individuals’ rights, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making.
  • Encourage participation in social, recreational, and employment opportunities.
  • Work closely with families, therapists, and healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and confidentiality policies
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism or neurodiverse needs (preferred but not essential).
  • Qualifications in Health & Social Care, Autism Awareness, or related fields.
  • Understanding of autism-specific approaches, including sensory regulation and communication techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patience and empathy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health, and person-centered care principles.
