Assistant Club Secretary – Royal Troon (Closes 27 October)

Royal Troon Golf Club, formed in 1878, is a prestigious Members Club that allows limited access to its courses to visitors. It is an Open Championship venue that has hosted 10 Opens, 2 Senior Opens and 1 Women’s Open together with a multitude of Scottish and other championships. The Club also takes pride in its development of Juniors and provides first‑class facilities both on its courses and in the clubhouse for all ages.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and dynamic Assistant Golf Club Secretary to support the overall operations of the Club. In this new but pivotal role, you will work closely with the Secretary and other senior staff to enhance the Member experience, assist in overseeing daily operations including the club’s visitor engagement and ensure the highest standards of service and quality are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Club Secretary in the management and running of a complex organisation
  • Ensure that continuity of club operations can always be maintained
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure compliance with club policies, procedures, health and safety, maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere for members, their guests and visitors
  • Oversee the training and development of all staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts, budget management and reporting, ensuring financial targets are met
  • Assist in overseeing projects to ensure outcomes meet specifications and are delivered on time and within budget
