About the Role

We’re looking for an AP Apprentice to join a small, friendly finance team based in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for someone new to finance who is keen to learn, enjoys working with numbers, and wants to build a long-term career in the field.

You’ll initially focus on Accounts Payable (AP), supporting day-to-day finance operations. As you develop in the role, you’ll also gain exposure to Accounts Receivable (AR), giving you a strong foundation across transactional finance.

You’ll receive hands-on training, support from the wider finance team, and mentorship from other apprentices, with formal study delivered by an on-site training provider. On completion of the apprenticeship, you will be AAT qualified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing and supplier queries
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with Accounts Receivable tasks as the role develops
  • Working closely with the finance team to meet deadlines
  • Learning finance and accounting best practices through on-the-job training and study
What We’re Looking For
  • A genuine interest in starting a career in finance and working with numbers
  • Strong Maths skills and confidence with detail
  • A minimum of Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and comfort working in the office full-time initially
Why Join?
  • A structured apprenticeship leading to AAT qualification
  • Exposure to both AP and AR
  • Supportive environment with mentoring from experienced apprentices
  • Opportunity to build confidence, skills, and a long-term finance career
