We’re looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team who will contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for the adults we support. About the role

The post is located within Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area. You will be joining a new clinical team to facilitate MDT working, consisting of Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. The clinical team is embedded into the structure of the provision which enables positive and effective multi-disciplinary working across the education services, in order to maximise clinical outcomes for the adults. Outcomes First Group support the clinical CPD in the North Region which facilitates supervision and training opportunities in order to deliver interventions that are strong in research evidence base.

You will be working within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures and within existing MDT and Clinical Governance structures to support the services in future development and ensuring quality assurance.

Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner
Length of assignment: 3 Months

Remote/Office based: Hybrid-all therapeutic appointments will be face to face

We are looking to recruit therapists to work within our Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the delivery of psychological and/or systemic interventions with parents and carers within Walsall both on a 1-2-1 basis and within groups.
  • Work with adults with significant and complex needs, with specific focus on engaging with parents in relation to their mental health and well-being whilst engaging with the wider social care system involved with the family.
  • You will be responsible for clinical provision including assessment, formulation, and time-limited evidence-based interventions within the Family safeguarding mental health team.
  • You will be required to identify the most appropriate form of mental health/psychological intervention for individuals to develop bespoke interventions to parents based on parental mental health need, informed by professional knowledge and practice skills relating to therapeutic intervention models (such as trauma informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional therapy, systemic family therapy)

Skills:

  • 1 year CBT experience
  • BACP registered
  • UK Driving License
  • Experience and qualification in delivering therapeutic interventions across a range of specialism to include but not exclusively trauma informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional family therapy, systemic family therapy.

Due to growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Mental Health Solicitor to join our client's longstanding and successful law firm. Our client specialises in ensuring mental health patients and their families and carers are given the care and treatment they deserve.

You would be joining a friendly and supportive team as a panel member in the mental health department. As a panel member, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of mental health files, representing clients in Tribunal and Hospital Manager's hearings, and attending CPA and s117 meetings.

We seek someone who has a keen commitment to representation of vulnerable individuals, has excellent communications skills, is adaptable and has an enthusiasm to help grow and develop a thriving and fast paced department. Experience of managing your own case load is required.

We have a strong team working ethos and you will receive support from a confident and knowledgeable administration team including secretarial, paralegal and billing support.

Your role:

  • Managing a caseload of mental health files, ensuring timely and effective representation of clients
  • Represent clients in Tribunal and Hospital Manager's hearings, advocating for their rights and interests
  • Attend CPA and s117 meetings, working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
  • Meet fee-earning targets and maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) compliance

The person:

  • Panel Accredited is essential, so the candidate must hold a current Practicing Certificate and be a member of the Law Society Mental Health Accreditation scheme
  • Driving licence is also essential
  • Knowledge and experience of legal aid regulations
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality client service
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload effectively
  • Able to generate business for the department
