Role Description

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling subscriptions and other online advertising products. Your client base will range from small independent agents to large, sophisticated customers including global property owners, fund managers, global brokerage businesses, hedge funds, private equity firms, REITs and family offices. The role is focused primarily on new business, with opportunity to grow revenue from existing accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the full sales cycle including prospecting, demonstrations, closing, onboarding, training and renewing accounts.
  • Conduct in-person client and prospect product demonstrations.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of clients and their needs through a consultative sales approach.
  • Become an expert in LoopNet’s marketing solutions as the leading online commercial property marketplace in the UK.
  • Maintain the existing client base with an entrepreneurial approach to selling, training and retention.
  • Represent CoStar Group by hosting and attending industry events and networking with property professionals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support client success.
Qualifications
  • Experience maintaining and growing clients over the medium and long term, with sales cycles typically 3–12 months.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and objection-handling skills with the ability to simplify complex proposals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work to metrics in an intelligent, effective manner.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience; consultative selling style with account management techniques.
  • Ability to build relationships, problem-solve for clients, and travel as required; knowledge of commercial real estate or asset management is advantageous.
  • Experience with property portals or marketplaces is advantageous. Ability to navigate large organizations to identify decision-makers and influencers; align stakeholders.
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel to the United States for training (approx. 3 weeks). Required to pass a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.
