About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect to join our team. This is a hybrid role that can be based out of one of our offices in Scotland. The successful candidate will be able to work between home, office and customer site.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will empower customers to achieve their digital transformation objectives through the design, delivery, and optimisation of secure, high‑performing hybrid infrastructure environments. This involves deep understanding of customer requirements, collaborative solution development, and ongoing partnership to ensure long‑term success.

  • Conduct in-depth discovery with clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and pain points related to their infrastructure.
  • Develop comprehensive and customised hybrid infrastructure solutions that address client needs, leveraging a mix of on‑premises, private cloud and public cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to craft detailed technical proposals that outline solution architecture, implementation plans and cost estimates.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor offerings to position solutions effectively and differentiate from the competition.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of deployed solutions, identifying opportunities for further optimisation and enhancement based on changing business needs and technological advancements.
  • Oversee the technical implementation of solutions, coordinating with internal and external resources to ensure successful deployment and configuration.
Technical Skills Required
  • Nutanix solution experience preferred (VMware / Hyper‑V experience also considered).
  • Strong Datacenter / Server / Virtualisation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Platform and Azure Infrastructure skills.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise storage solutions.
  • Awareness of the challenges and benefits of Hybrid Cloud.
  • Stakeholder communication, technical discovery and design documentation skills.
  • Strong Business / Industry Awareness.
  • Ability to adapt to change, work independently and lead small project teams.
