The role involves supporting and growing business units, identifying new opportunities, building customer relationships, and analysing market trends. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Chemistry and have at least one year of sales experience in a technical B2B environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded Sales Manager with a fast-growing speciality chemicals supplier. The company operates globally, acting as a bridge between international manufacturers and end markets, with a strong presence in UV-curing technologies and emerging interests in adjacent sectors. Support the development and growth of established and emerging business units within the organisation
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across domestic and international markets
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing technical and commercial support
Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
Track sales performance, prepare forecasts, and contribute to commercial planning
Create and deliver professional presentations to prospective and existing clients
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and ways of working to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
Degree (BSc/MSc) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
Minimum of one year’s experience in a sales or commercial role
Strong technical understanding combined with sound commercial judgement
Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
High proficiency with standard business software and tools
Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required
Experience in B2B technical sales within the chemical or speciality materials sector
Knowledge of UV-curable technologies and related raw materials
Doctorate in Chemistry or equivalent advanced qualification desirable
MUST possess the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available
