About the role
As Admissions Assistant at Akeley Wood School, you will play a vital role in welcoming families and guiding them through the admissions journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form. Reporting to the Admissions Manager, you'll act as a key ambassador for the school, offering a warm, tailored experience that reflects our values. Your responsibilities will include managing enquiries, coordinating tours, supporting events, and maintaining accurate data in our admissions systems. You'll be part of a supportive, high-performing team where customer service and attention to detail are central to everything we do.

• Manage admissions enquiries and provide timely, accurate information to families.
• Coordinate school tours and admissions events.
• Support the admissions team with data entry and maintenance of admissions systems.
• Contribute to a welcoming, informative experience for prospective parents and pupils.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth processing of applications from Nursery through to Sixth Form.

• Confident communicator with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment; highly organised with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Strong IT skills and meticulous attention to detail; ability to build rapport with families.
• Experience in data-driven or customer-facing roles; experience in education or familiarity with systems like MS Dynamics or iSAMS is a bonus.
• Personable, proactive, and committed to helping families find the right educational path for their child.
