Job summary
A leading energy company in the United Kingdom is seeking a full-time Legal & Compliance professional. This role involves drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts related to solar energy projects, advising on legal matters, and ensuring that contractual provisions are robust and financeable. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial agreements and a strong understanding of solar and energy project development. This position is critical for maximizing ownership structures in project transactions.
Qualifications
- Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Ability to advise on solar and energy project development.
- Familiarity with legal matters in real estate.
Responsibilities
- Draft and finalize a variety of commercial contracts.
- Advise on solar and energy project realization.
- Assist with project acquisition and divestiture.
Full-time, Brinkworth, Legal & Compliance
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalising a wide range of commercial contracts including, but not limited to: EPC and O&M contracts, option and lease agreements, supply agreements, sub-contractor agreements, purchase agreements and confidentiality agreements
- Advising (and co-ordinating external legal counsel) on the development and realization of solar and energy projects, including major equipment purchase contracts, construction contracts, operation and maintenance agreements real estate matters, interconnection arrangements, power purchase and energy hedging arrangements,
- Assisting on project acquisition and divestiture
- Ensuring that ownership and deal structures and contractual provisions are maximized, coordinated and financeable
