As a Finance Assistant – Projects you will work within the project delivery function, liaising closely with UK & Global Project teams and the wider Finance team. You will support the Projects Finance Director in actively controlling cost and minimizing the cost of project delivery. The role is based in our Bristol office and offers some flexibility for hybrid working.
- Track, record and monitor costs versus budgets for our Global System Projects.
- Maintain accounting ledgers and postings for our projects.
- Liaise with in‑country project teams to process and approve project costs against agreed budgets, process purchase orders and ensure that financial paperwork and company processes are followed.
- Support and work with the Projects Finance Director to prepare project financial reports.
- Review invoices to ensure they meet approved limits and agreed contracts.
- Perform project finance administration.
- Previous experience working in a construction or manufacturing environment – highly desirable.
- Professional qualification such as QBE, or working toward one.
- Experience working on international projects is desirable but not essential.
- Uncompromising attention to detail with the ability to think proactively and progressively.
- Appreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and the ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues.
- Solid knowledge of accounting systems and Excel.
- Desire to build a solid, secure career with a rapidly growing company.
