As well as working within our sexual health hubs, it’s an opportunity to take sexual health expertise INTO the community: working with people who face the greatest barriers to accessing care, and ensuring they are supported, empowered, and protected.**Why This Role Is Unique****A Clinical & Outreach Blend**You will work autonomously as an expert sexual health nurse, delivering specialist interventions both inside clinic and out in the community. Your work may include:* Targeted outreach to high-risk groups (e.g., people experiencing homelessness, young people, sex workers, migrants, victims of exploitation).* Leading nurse-led clinics, working across sites, and supporting the wider MDT to ensure smooth, safe service delivery.Your clinical autonomy will include STI/HIV screening and treatment, contraception management (including IUD/implant insertion and removal following training), PGD use, triage, health promotion, complex case management and participation in MDTs and safeguarding processes.You will play a key role in shaping how the service evolves—contributing to service development, audit, policy updates, and evidence-based practice improvements.**Please see the attached job description for a full list of responsibilities for this role.**Loughborough is a thriving university town with a vibrant, diverse community that makes sexual health both meaningful and rewarding.
