We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.Arriva TrainCare is part of Arriva, you’ll be part of a professional team with these core behaviours at heart;* **We care passionately*** **We do the right thing*** **We make the difference**Benefits include 26 days annual leave inclusive of standard UK bank holidays, pension, life and healthcare cover, Arriva UK Trains Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.**The Role:**Working in our Crewe depot and reporting into the team leader you will be responsible for providing maintenance of rail vehicles to the laid down procedures.**What You’ll Do:*** Carry out work as allocated by the Service Delivery Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standards* Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures* Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction* Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work* Ensure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to* Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised*Full job description available on request***What You Bring:*** **Qualifications –** minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering* **Experience –** involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities* **Knowledge –** good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.* **Engineering –** strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineeringIf you’re passionate about making a difference and supporting Arriva TrainCare, we want to hear from you!***Let’s build the future together!***Due to the energising nature of our vacancies, application close dates, when stated, are indicative and may be subject to change so please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
