The role
As a Pipefitter, you’ll support the Royal Navy’s fleet. This hands‑on role helps maintain submarines and surface vessels, ensuring they’re ready for deployment and operating at peak performance.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on plant system pipework across Royal Navy vessels and base facilities
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and nuclear‑implicated tasks to support operational readiness
- Identify and resolve system defects and manufacturing issues to maintain vessel performance
- Follow health and safety legislation and contribute to a safe working environment
- Suggest improvements to systems and processes to boost productivity and efficiency
- Skilled in brazing, pipe bending, and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
- Familiar with Production Technical Instructions and Support Documentation
- Knowledge of acceptance standards and regulated industry practices
- Experience in a highly regulated industry is advantageous but not essential
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
