The role

As a Pipefitter, you’ll support the Royal Navy’s fleet. This hands‑on role helps maintain submarines and surface vessels, ensuring they’re ready for deployment and operating at peak performance.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on plant system pipework across Royal Navy vessels and base facilities
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance and nuclear‑implicated tasks to support operational readiness
  • Identify and resolve system defects and manufacturing issues to maintain vessel performance
  • Follow health and safety legislation and contribute to a safe working environment
  • Suggest improvements to systems and processes to boost productivity and efficiency
Essential Experience
  • Skilled in brazing, pipe bending, and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
  • Familiar with Production Technical Instructions and Support Documentation
  • Knowledge of acceptance standards and regulated industry practices
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry is advantageous but not essential
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
