RSE’s Asset Management & Technical Services business platform is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join on a permanent basis and support projects across England. The role will lead design from scoping through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards, with a focus on low‑carbon solutions.
- Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Develop design deliverables.
- Complete checking and approval processes.
- Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
- Assemble contract works information documents.
- Consider project health, safety, quality, and environmental matters.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders.
- Implement project change control and programme requirements.
- Lead as Design Lead on allocated projects.
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in municipal water/wastewater mechanical design highly desirable.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary design team.
- Experience across all design stages highly desirable.
- Design management experience highly desirable.
- Ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
- Full UK driving licence.
